The second-largest smart contract network after Ethereum is the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), also identified as the BNB Smart Chain. Its affordable gas fees and high transaction speeds have played pivotal roles in getting blockchain users to opt for it. It is essential to add it to your MetaMask wallet in order to access the network.
Although MetaMask is a decentralized wallet, access to the Binance Smart Chain is only possible after adding the network. DeFi apps and decentralized exchanges like Pancakeswap are up for grabs once you add Binance Smart Chain to your MetaMast wallet. Hence, we’ll go over the steps to get it done in the shortest possible time.
You don’t need a guru to complete the steps to connect MetaMask to the BNB Smart Chain. We’ve broken them down into the simplest forms to get you ahead in minutes. Let’s first examine the benefits that the MetaMast device offers.
Linking Binance Chain to Metamask: What is MetaMask?
The MetaMask wallet is a simple computer extension that users can use to safeguard their cryptocurrency holdings. However, it does more than store crypto assets. You can access decentralized applications from your browser just like a crypto casino, even on your mobile device.
Think of your connection to the blockchain through the MetaMask wallet as you would with Ethereum and the Binance Smart Chain network. You can send and receive cryptocurrencies and interact with other applications without porting to another blockchain client or node.
The user interface makes interacting with the Binance chain and other blockchains smooth. Managing crypto assets and other tokens comes with little effort and smart integration. However, its most essential function is allowing interaction with DEXs and DApps on the Ethereum network.
You can use your MetaMask wallet to connect to multiple networks, from the Ethereum mainnet to other custom networks. Your valuables will be protected by the security features, such as the seed phrase and biometric verification.
MetaMast Wallet integrates effortlessly with decentralized exchanges; hence, it is the top choice for the BNB Smart Chain network. You can mention PancakeSwap, SushiSwap, Uniswap, etc. These can be accessed from the comfort of your mobile device or PC.

This is the foremost stage to adding the Binance chain to your MetaMask wallet and accessing DApps on BSC. Take your time to get it done.
Step 2: Wallet Configuration
The next step after installation is to add Binance Smart Chain (BSC). There are a couple of ways to do this, but we will touch on one way and explore the rest subsequently. The first approach is using BSCscan, and it is as follows:
- Launch BSC scan on your browser.
- Scroll down to the tail part of the homepage till you see the MetaMask wallet tag.
- Click “‘Add BSC Network” on the tab. You’ll receive a request to confirm your login.
- A new pop-up window carrying the Ethereum mainnet to the BNB Smart Chain Network will appear.
- Press “Switch Network” to pick the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) as your default network.
That will put in the Binance Smart Chain to MetaMask. It’s as simple as it is.
Step 3: Binance Smart Chain Network
How can you access the Ethereum mainnet now that you’ve added the BNB Smart Chain to your MetaMask wallet? That is a simple thing to do.
The BNB icon will appear with your BNB balance. Afterward, you can access the Smart Chain drop-down list in the display’s upper-right side.
Do the following to switch to the Ethereum network:
- Click “Smart Chain” at the top right corner.
- Click “Ethereum Mainnet.”
You can swap between the Ethereum Network and BNB Smart Chain. However, there is one final step.
Step 4: Putting Money in Your Wallet
However, adding Binance Smart Chain (BSC) requires filling your MetaMask wallet with BSC tokens. Here’s how to do it:
- Pen down the token’s contract details.
- Clicking the detail will redirect you to the BSCscan porter.
- Paste the penned-down token details there.
- Open your MetaMask wallet and press “Add Token.”
- Paste the token’s address in the open field and click “Next.”
- Press “Add Token” to finalize the dealing.
You’ve just learned to link MetaMask and add Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Everything else will move smoothly for you.
Do You Need A Binance Chain Wallet to Link Binance Smart Chain to Meta Mask?
As seen, everything takes place between BSCscan and your MetaMask wallet. You don’t need a separate BNB Chain wallet to attach MetaMask to the BNB Smart Chain.
You can communicate with your BEP20 tokens by connecting the MetaMask platform to the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). You can also access DApps on the BNB Smart Chain network. It is a win-win for you.
What are the Advantages of Connecting Metamask and Binance Smart Chain?
What are the benefits of adding network to MetaMask? Can’t you use another wallet for the job? Here are the benefits:
- You can effortlessly transact with BEP20 and other tokens via the BNB Smart chain on MetaMask. Everything happens directly from your wallet.
